Who knew it would take an 8'x9' storage space to barely hold all of my stuff. A sofa, dining table, 2 benches, 2 bookshelves, mattress, box spring, 2 chairs, a dresser, 3 side tables, a couple mirrors, and many many bins and boxes. Where did I get all this stuff?! I feel so ridiculous with all of it. Thank goodness Alicia is here to help me. And thank goodness Der-How has been here to fit everything together. Yesterday he said to me, "You weren't very good at tetris when you were younger, were you?" Ummm, no.

Der leaves today. Sad face. Then Alicia and I will leave someday next week, the 22nd at the latest. Then we will make our way up to Portland to see Chris and Raena and baby Timothy and my parents! Yayyyyyy. I'm excited! I'm also hoping we get to eat chowder.

I'm so tired of moving every year. I think the feeling people get of being ready to settle down is 90% being fed up dealing with packing up boxes and storage units and Uhauls and coordinating work and a move out schedule. Also, leaving friends "behind" is no fun.

Anddddd we're ready to go do errands. Cross your fingers I don't pop another blood vessel today.

I would like to have a new apartment. Of which I have been agonizing over for the past couple of weeks. It's such a high to look at apartments and try to envision yourself living there. I love it. I do not love unresponsive property management companies that do not return my phone calls. Nevertheless, I found one that I like and am itching to move, seeing as how my move out date is next week. Eech?

Good news, Alicia is coming to visit/help me move next week. I cannot wait. It is so fun to have family in town. Even better news, Raena and Chris had their baby on Saturday and it is a boy!!! Baby Timothy!! I am so happy and am so excited to be with everyone in Portland for Christmas.

[Sidenote: Right now I'm watching Hawaii 5-0 on TV. It's somehow comforting to watch and helps with homesickness. Weird, a crime show being comforting. I like how they portray Hawaii and how they're actually pretty accurate with names of places and stuff like that. Also, side-sidenote: I like playing I Spy J.Crew clothes during the show. Thanks to Mom for telling me to watch it. ]

I had a weird experience during my break today. I went to the little convenience store down the street to get a diet coke. Two people cut in front of me in line and didn't seem to care or notice. One of them was a guy who rushed in and bought a container of hair gel. The other one kept changing his mind about what lottery ticket to buy. I just wanted to get a diet coke and fruit snacks. You know when you walk in somewhere and somehow feel like you just walked into a washer full of chaos? That's what I felt like today. In only 5 minutes. I walked out of there feeling like I needed to do deep-breathing exercises.

The other day, I didn't have work, so I drove down to visit Erica in Long Beach. When I got there, she surprised me with little cupcake things from Frosted Cupcakery in Long Beach. She's great. They were great. And chocolatey.

So, lots has happened since...June. My sister, Raena, is pregnant and due tomorrow (ahhh!!!!) She and Chris moved to Portland, so our family is now contained to the west coast and Hawaii. We're all so close to each other! Kind of. I'm subletting from a friend at the moment and looking for a new place to move to in the middle of December. Alicia is coming in to visit and help me move next week, yay! Then we are driving up to Portland to meet up with my mom and dad and to be with Chris and Raena and Baby Nelson for Christmas. Super excited! And the Seattle cousins and auntie and uncle will be coming down to visit too! Yayyyyyy. I can't wait.

I also can't wait to be in normal winter weather. It is 72 degrees right now in Pasadena. On December 3rd. Ridiculous?
