It's I don't care Thursday!

Just found out that I will have arrived in Los Angeles in time for the Renegade Craft Fair on July 11 and 12. That's got me almost more excited than the actual move itself. Almost. The site alone makes me want to be there both days, all day. I'm not a creep.

So, The Big Move. Things are shaping up quite nicely. I'm narrowing down options for movers, trying to find the cheapest one (not that easy, let me tell you), Erica has her plane ticket to fly down here (the 26th!! yay!!), I'm mentally packing and throwing out things, I gave notice to where I work, I'm comparing routes on how to get there, the list goes on. Right now I can't think about my time in Birmingham running out. I'm not quite there yet. Toooo sad. It's going to be a crazy month on 8th Avenue.

Side note, I did some research and found out what these little gems are called. Craspedia, aka Billy Buttons. I've seen them all over (Urban Standard, magazines, what have you) and never knew what they were called. Hence, the search. I googled, "cute yellow ball flowers." Getcha some.

This humidity makes my hair expand

I've been listening to this song on repeat for the past couple days. Yay for Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson. You may think it's dreary and depressing, but somehow I enjoy songs like that, who knows why. Hah. The video is pretty awesome too. Also, listen to "Use Somebody" by Kings of Leon. You won't regret it. Does anyone else think that country music sounds so much better in the summer?

On another note, I joined up with Rebekah again for a simple t-shirt design for her photography business. Visit her blog!

If you are ever in need of an ice cream cake while in Birmingham, I highly recommend getting one from Edgewood Creamery. They are right across the street from where I work and they have made many a day 10x better just with their Midnight Chocolate/Cake/coffee and fudge concoction in a waffle cup (not that I'm obsessed or anything...). Anyway, I ordered an ice cream cake for my friend Dana's birthday. Chocolate cake, cookies and cream ice cream, and chocolate ice cream on top. At the last minute, I asked them to put a bird on it. After thinking about it, I probably should've told them what kind of bird I wanted--I was thinking I'd pick up the cake and it would have those two-bump line birds that you draw in 2nd grade. But, they passed the bird test with flying colors. Bahaha.

Just one more reason why I want to be Zooey Deschanel/be her best friend/borrow all her clothes.

Martha Stewart genius-ness

I love this. Now I just have to figure out what piece of furniture I can do this to...

I got to do my cousin Rachel's graduation party invite! Lots of fun. Congrats Rachel!

Strawberries and Furniture

I found this when I was cuttin' up some strawberries. Nice.

So I peruse craigslist sometimes when I need a break from work. I found this little gem for $40. My friend, Dana, was kind enough to go with me out to Mt. Olive to pick it up. And now it is mine. Foreverrrrrr.

Here are a couple more wedding designs. Yay! These are the names of my alter egos/lives.
